Assam's First Corona Suspect Tested Negative in Further Medical Tests

Assam, 22nd Mar, 2020: Yesterday, a small girl child was reportedly tested corona positive in Jorhat Medical College and Hospital. The girl and her family traveled back to their home from Bihar on 19th March and after their arrival the family had to undergo medical scrutiny as part of preventive measure. Next day, the small girl suffered with similar symptoms of corona and the JMCH laboratory tested her samples for doubtful corona. The test report revealed by JMCH laboratory confirms her positive.

    But for further affirmation, her samples were sent to Regional Medical Research Center (RMRC) at Lahowal in Dibrugarh yesterday. Today, the RMRC reveals the report of their investigation. To a great relief, they reports the girl as corona negative. This news created a hue and cry for a short interval.

When the headline "a small girl child was reportedly tested corona positive in Jorhat" flashed in a news channel, the people of Assam got tensed after hearing this news, as in Assam there was no confirmed case of Covid-19 and it was like entry of the pandemic in the State, as the people were already in Home Quarantine to stop the spread of the virus, this News was shocking for the people of the state. The small girl who is said to be tested positive in the Medical College of Jorhat as soon was kept in observation, she was having the related symptoms too. Fortunately, another day the people of State got relief as the Small child was tested negative when her samples were tested on Lahowal Medical Research Centre.

After that incident, the state administration took more strict rules to keep the State corona free, now various strict measures are being followed in every village, town, and city of the state to prevent the coronavirus. Moreover, efforts are also seen from the people side to stop the spread by following the rules made by the Administration.

    With this report, Assam has no confirmed cases of Covid-19 so far.
