Nishan Bhujel, age 17, a boy from Nepal, is not a common boy. His extraordinary direction and editing skills dropped the jaw of Emiway Bantai in awe. Yes, you are right, we are talking abo ut the Famous Indian Rapper Emiway Bantai, “the Machayenge Guy”, whose rap “Machayenge” put on fire India’s Rap Industry. Nishan Bhujel Biography

Nishan’s story begins from the beautiful nature’s corners of Nepal. The hilly nature’s surroundings of Nepal always add driving fuel to his boundless imaginations. Nature presents a canvas of bounty of beauty to him. Nishan used to click moments with his mobile camera. The styled photography of Nishan was even admired by his father. His father Netra Bahadur Bhujel decided to gift him a DSLR camera. This sparkled in him a hobby of capturing the best moments and stunning landscapes with his camera. Gradually, he got attracted to videography, editing, and direction. He started surfing Youtube to acquire knowledge in this field. Within a very short period of time, he learned a lot of things. He then thought to make it practical. So, he started uploading his edited videos on his Instagram handle @nishanbhujel_ for the world to see. Thus, his fabulous editing skill helped him gain a fanbase very soon. He out-bet the world of Likes & Dislikes by thumbing likes of his fan in his Instagram posts.


Nishan, then went ahead to make his work professional. His hidden talents got a break for the first time during the starting months of 2019, in a rap song titled GUAP sung by Rapper Lil Classic and Ace. After it, Nishan did not have to look back. During March of 2019 itself, he bagged a big project titled Life Jacket, sung by Rapper Chirag Khadka aka 5:55, a popular rapper of Nepal. He left everyone stunned with his fine videography, direction, and editing in this video and so far, this video has grossed three million views. Later his editing skills garnished music videos of many other Rappers like Tyrant, Honey, Nati etc.



The emerging talent of Nepal, Nishan Bhujel has also left his mark in India as well. He was introduced by the Uncrowned Rap King Emiway Bantai. All this was happening in September 2019. Emiway was up in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal in September 2019 for a show. Nishan saw a golden chance and sent samples of his work to Emiway. The moment Emiway saw his work, his face lit up with an expression that he found something in Nepal. The beauty of Nature in Nepal also hides some beautiful talents. Emiway called him up for a discussion on his upcoming project CHECKMATE. He handed over a big burden on the hands of this tiny director and editor. Nishan, also with a little bit of nervousness, decided to curser out the best tools of his editing software to make an outstanding video, because it was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

 Now the Checkmate video on Youtube has crossed a total of 12 Million views, and thus Emiway made a discovery of a talented colleague for himself. The good work must be continued and therefore Nishan later worked in three more projects of Emiway, namely – Sab Kuch New, No Brands, and Pagal Sa Rapper, etc.

      Recently in November 2019, the team of TheInfobell had an Exclusive Interview with Nishan Bhujel. He reveals some interesting facts about his journey, about his projects with Emiway. The facts revealed by him should inspire you a lot. Here is the interview:

TheInfoBell: It is a pride moment for us to welcome such a young talent among us. Just at 17 years how a boy can carry in his shoulder such big projects with Emiway! We have amongst us Nishan Bhujel, the director cum editor of Checkmate, Pagal Sa Rapper, and other big projects of Emiway. Let’s begin from the beginning. Tell us something about yourself.

Nishan Bhujel: I am Nishal Bhujel, age 17, a boy from Nepal. I am born and brought up amidst the boundless beauty of the nature of hilly Nepal. In fact, the seamless natural beauty is my source of imagination. I am a student of grade 12th. My dream is filmmaking. I try to learn new things every moment, a journey that never ends in search of perfect blends of skills.


TheInfoBell: How did you find that you had to become a director and editor?  How did you learn all these things? I mean, what inspired you? Just at the age of 17, you have got some big achievements, which seems difficult for most of the others even at a big age. Today, the kids are busy in online games. But parallel to this, you have proved how technology can be used for turning your hobbies into a passion.

NISHAN BHUJEL INTERVIEW

Nishan Bhujel: For today’s youth a mobile phone is a center of attraction. I am one of them. In the beginning, it was fascinating for me to click photographs or to shoot videos just for fun. This is how I developed a devotion to this field. Meanwhile, I was active on Instagram, a virtual world where the Likes & Dislike figures matter. I wanted to look cool. So, I started polishing my videos. The story of making an editor begins here. Eventually, I cleared my SEE (Secondary Education Examination). My father already had gifted me a DSLR camera. It was adding wings to an adolescent’s unbound imagination.  However, I have not obtained any institutional training in editing or video direction, whatever I know is all from Youtube and from my observations.


TheInfoBell: Tell us about your education.

Nishan Bhujel: I am committed to doing well in my studies. I think it is one of my duties to accomplish my studies. After passing out SEE (Secondary Education Examination), I am now doing my 12th Grade. I am focused on my syllabus now. So, I am on leave from work, so that I can concentrate. I believe an educated society is important for nation-building and for the future development of a country. I want to see the happy faces of my parents by gifting them a good career.


TheInfoBell: Wow! What great thoughts! Now coming to the most Interesting Question. At just 17 years’ age, you worked with India’s Most Popular Rapper Emiway Bantai in four different projects. How did this intensive story begin?

Nishan Bhujel: It is a great fortune for me to work with Emiway Bantai. As I told you that videography, editing, direction, etc are my hobby cum passion. So, at first, I worked in many Nepali videos. I already have the experience to work with popular Rappers of Nepal like Manas Ghale and Chirag Khadka aka 5:55, to direct and edit their videos. Meanwhile, in September this year, I got a news that India’s uncrowned Rap King, Emiway Bantai was in Kathmandu, Nepal for an event. I saw it as a great opportunity. I got connected to him and showed my works. My good luck was with me, he appreciated my work. We had a long duration meeting and he told me about his upcoming project checkmate. He decided to give me a chance. It was my entry ticket to the Indian Music Industry. It was really a checkmate move. The video crossed 10 million views just 3 weeks after its release and so far, grossed a total of 12 million views on youtube.

          My dreams got wings. He invited me to Mumbai to work on other projects. It was a new ray of hope. The projects which I worked in are Sab Kuch New, No Brands, and Pagal Sa rapper.


TheInfoBell: So, you have done four projects with Emiway. Which one of them you consider was special?

Nishan Bhujel: Well, all of them are special to me. Still, I want to say that ‘Pagal Sa Rapper’ is a milestone. Just 30 hours, what it took to accomplish that project – from shooting to editing. As a team, there was full-on energy. A memorable project. It is also a Youtube sensation, crossed 6 million views within a week.


TheInfoBell: Any future projects with Emiway?

Nishan Bhujel: I think revealing everything in advance, is a hurry. As I am on break. So, you will have to wait.


TheInfoBell: As you are dear to heart director and editor of Emiway, embellishing four projects of him, do you want to say anything about Emiway? I mean, how does it feel to work with him?

Nishan Bhujel: People mostly believe that Emiway is an angry person, as he does appear in his rap songs. His ‘Pagal Sa Rapper’ is enough to prove he is at insane aggressiveness. But really, he is a person with a kind heart and a man of simplicity. He takes care of everyone in his team. He encourages everyone to give the best. He solves everyone’s trouble. An atmosphere of brotherhood exists in the set. He also loves me like his own brother. That’s why I am always thankful to him.

TheInfoBell: Do you want to tell us about your future plans?

Nishan Bhujel: I have fixed my goals now. I want to do something in the field of filmmaking, film direction and editing.


TheInfoBell: You mean a great filmmaker from Nepal is on the way. Well, do you want to say something to the youths?

Nishan Bhujel: (Smilingly) I am a trainee now, trying to learn everything. I cannot dare to give a message to anybody. But still, I believe that a successful person is one who can make the best use of time.

NISHAN BHUJEL WORK PROFILE

The Instagram boy turned professional editor Nishan Bhujel all sailed from the platform of Instagram where he used to publish his edit works in his early days. His works gradually grabbed the attention of the professional rappers.  Rapper Lil Classic and Ace picked him up for their project GUAP, which was the first-ever break to this world of the music video industry.

1. GUAP: This beginning project was produced under the banner of Ocean Beats, which was uploaded on a Youtube channel named ACE on 25th January 2019. The artists of this song are Saduhang aka Lil Classic, Aayush aka Fresh Prince, and Ace. This is the first music video edited by Nishan Bhujel. This video has grossed up 15,000 views in spite, the channel ACE has a meager number of 1,000 subscriber-only.

2. LIFE JACKET: Life Jacket was sung by popular Nepali Rapper Chirag Khadka aka 5:55. This is the first big project of Nishan’s career. The video published on the 3rd of March, 2019 has so far entertained about 3 Million viewers. The unprecedented direction and editing skills of Nishan have given him a new identity after this video.


3. CHECKMATE: Checkmate is a dream come true project for Nishan. It was the first opportunity for him to work with Emiway. Moreover, it was an entry ticket to the Indian Music Industry. The video was uploaded on October 11, 2019, and accumulated some 12 Million views so far on Youtube. The direction and editing pattern of this video is really checkmate move by Nishan which has compelled the viewers to watch this video keeping their eyes glued to the screen.

4. PAGAL SA RAPPER: Pagal Sa Rapper is one of the crazy rap songs sung by Emiway Bantai. Parallelly, the stunning direction and editing make this song really a crazy one. This song was published on 24th November 2019. By the end of the first week, it has crossed more than 6 Million views. An interesting fact relating to this video is that the whole video was shot and edited within 30 hours.
