Tense denotes the time of action, that is, what action has taken place at what point of time. As you all know tense is basically of three categories, namely past tense, present tense and future tense. Tense is perhaps the most important topic one should learn to decode the language of English. Tense is a key to the world of English Language. The State Education Board of Assam, understanding its vitality, incorporates it as an important part of the syllabus. The students of Class X under SEBA are required to correct the form of tense of a bracketed. The verb given in bracket is in its root form. The students needs to understand the context of the sentence and accordingly insert the right form of the verb to make the sentence a complete one. For this purpose, the students will have to learn the golden rules of tenses.
